Madrid, 14th March.
The Financial Times, together with the research company Statista, has published the sixth edition of the FT1000 ranking of the fastest growing companies in Europe.
ARQUIMEA multiplied by 10 its turnover in the 2017-2020 period, reaching €72M in revenue. According to the Financial Times, this extraordinary growth means reaching the top 5 of Spanish companies by growth and being 160th in Europe.
This ranking, compiled annually by the Financial Times and Statista, takes on particular relevance as it is framed by the global critical juncture brought about by the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, the trade frictions caused by Brexit and a prolonged global supply chain squeeze.
Only 49 Spanish companies have made it into this edition of the FT1000 ranking. This year, ARQUIMEA is ranked fifth. The four companies preceding it are in the technology, food and beauty sectors.
In general terms, it is worth noting that only 30% of companies have made the list two years in a row. Financial Times and Statista set demanding growth criteria that are difficult to achieve over several financial years.
This year’s sector mix is in line with the 2021 ranking: technology leads with one fifth of the companies on the list, followed by construction and retail.
