Human-machine interface

Human-machine transparency is a revolutionary concept that involves a multidisciplinary approach. Our multi-modal approach merging biopotentials with new photonic spectroscopy techniques aims to enable the deciphering of brain activity in real-time.

Description of the project

Our research is currently focused on studying the brain in a non-invasive way. Knowing more about this organ will mean a revolution both in the field of health and in the way we interact with the digital world. To achieve this, we have two major challenges: acquiring the signals associated with brain activity with sufficient quality and interpreting and/or classifying them.

We are developing a new instrument based on infrared spectroscopy that will allow us to acquire the signals in a non-invasive way, overcoming the current limitations in terms of resolution and range.
